Explanation:

Let us consider the problem:

Given that:

W=5g,W

A

=95g,M

B

=60.05gmol

−1

M

A

=18gmol

−1

,P

0

A

=3.165kPa

Putting the values in expression

P

o

P

A

−P

=

M

B

×W

A

W

B

×M

A

3.165kPa

3.165kPa−P

=

60.05gmol

−1

×95g

5g×18gmol

−1

=0.015

Hence,

P=3.165kPa−0.015×3.165kPa

P=3.118kPa.
