At 4*C, 0.98 of the volume of a body is immersed in water. The temperature at which the entire body gets immersed in water is ( neglect the exoansion of the body) ( gama of water= 3.3 x 10^-4 k^-1)

Hey dear,

# Answer- 64.6°C.

# Explanation-

Volumetric Temperature Coefficient is given by formula

γ = Δ V/ΔT

For complete immersion of body

Δ V = 1-0.98 = 0.02 units

ΔT = Δ V/ γ

ΔT = (0.02)/(3.3×10^-4)

ΔT = 60.6 °C

T2-T1 = 60.6

T2 = 60.6+4

T2 = 64.6 °C

The body will completely sink at temperature 64.6°C.

Hope this is useful.

Dear Student,
Considering,

Volumetric Temperature Coefficients: 3.3×10−4/K.(change in volume per unit change in temperature)

at 4 deg celcius 0.98 of volume is immersed so to immerse completly in the liquid we will need to raise the temperature of water.
for 10K ⇒3.3×10−4unit volume increases.now for complete immerson of liquid we need to raise the volume of liquid by 0.02so,T=0.023.3×10−4T=60.6  C
