let the no. of boys and girls be 5x and 3x respectively
A/q,
5x-10/3x=1/1
5x-10=3x
5x-3x=10
2x=10
x=5
so, no.of boys=5×5=25
no,of girls=3×5=15
no.of people =15+25=40
