The displacement of the particle is a/2

Explanation:

Let the equation of Simple Harmonic Motion is

x = a s i n ( ω t ),

Since  v= a ω c o s ( ω t )

Velocity at mean position

v = a ω

As given in question,

√ 3/ 2 a ω  = a ω c o s ( ω t )

Since c o s ( ω t ) = √ 3/ 2

ω t = π /6

So Displacement  x  =  a s i n ( π/ 6 )

Displacement =  a /2

Thus the displacement of the particle is a/2
