Answer :-

Orbit Period (T) = 2 Π √ (R + h)³/ GM

This is time required to orbit the earth.

R = 6.4 x 10 ⁶ m

G = 6.67 x 10 ^-11 N m²/Kg²

M = 5.9 x 10 ^24 Kg

h = 0.4 x 10 ⁶ m

Substituting in above we get,

T = 2 Π √( 6.8 x 10⁶)³/ ( 5.9 x 10 ^24 x 6.67 x 10 ^-11)

T = 2 Π √ (314.43 x 10¹⁸) / ( 39.35 x 10 ^13)

T = 2 Π √ 7980 x 10⁵

T = 177411 sec

T = 49.2 hrs
