At andaman authorities do not allow tourists to collect shells from beaches why it must be so?​

Shells and corals collected from the beach should not be taken out. That's the reason why no corals are sold in Andaman. Even if u do so u ll be caught in airport.

Instead u may go to Sagarika Emporium which is owned by the govt which has vide range of finished products made from shells at reasonable prices. Pls carry the bill with u and produce at airport if asked during check-in.
