At constant pressure, a gas is at a pressure of 880 mm of Hg. If the pressure is decreased by 20%, find the new pressure of the gas.​

V = 88cm3

P = 770 mm

P1 = 880 mm

V1 = ?

T = T1

Using gas equation,

TPV=T1P1V1

V1=880770×88

V1 = 77cm3

Diminished volume = 88−77

                                = 11cm3
