If the temperature is constant, as the pressure of a gas increases, the volume decreases. Boyle's law states that for a given mass ofgas at constant temperature, the volume of the gas varies inversely with pressure.

Boyle's Law states that the volume of a gas held at constant temperature is inversely proportional to its pressure. Charles's law states that the volume of a gas held at constant pressure is directly proportional to its temperature in Kelvins.
therefore at constant temperature increasing gas pressure is inversely proportional to the volume.
