Given :

▪ Initial pressure of gas = 2atm

▪ Initial volume of gas = 10L

▪ Final pressure of gas = 4atm

(Temperature remains constant.)

To Find :

▪ Final volume of gas.

Concept :

❇ This question is completely based on the concept of Boyle's law.

❇ As per this law, At constant temperature, the pressure of a fixed ammount of gas varies inversely with its volume.

Calculation :

\dashrightarrow\sf\:P_iV_i=P_fV_f\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_f=\dfrac{P_iV_i}{P_f}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_f=\dfrac{10\times 2}{4}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\:V_f=\dfrac{20}{4}\\ \\ \dashrightarrow\underline{\boxed{\bf{\blue{V_f=5L}}}}\:\orange{\bigstar}

Given,

\bigstar Pressure of a gas = 2 atm

\bigstar Volume of a gas = 10L

\bigstar Final pressure of gas = 4atm

To find:-

Volume of the gas.

Now,......

P \propto \frac{1}{V}

P(Initial) V(Initial) = P(final) V(final)

V(final) = \frac{P(initial) V(Initial) } {P(final) }

V(final) = \frac {10×2} {4}

V(final)= \frac{20}{4}

V(final) = 5L

so,

The volume of gas = 5L
