From the definition we get to know that inversion of temperatures is that temperature in which the temperature of hot junctions at which the thermo electric e.m.f is zero and reverses its direction.

While in case of neutral temperatures the at the hot junction the thermo electric e.m.f becomes maximum.

And we know that the  direction of thermoelectric e.m.f changes from iron to copper at the hot junction since the junction is made of iron-copper. Magnitude of e.m.f increases with increase in temperature with a negative sign.
