Sieve cell is a non-nucleated cell. It lose their nucleus, ribosomes and vacuoles at maturity. It is an elongated food living cell in phloem. Sieve cells have a thin layer of cytoplasm and it is connected by channels to companion cells. Sieve cells with the help of companion cell transport food.
