Hi,
Here's the answer:-
Let son's age be x.
Father's age = 3x
Age of father before 6 years = 3x-6
Age of son before 6 years = x-6
According to question:-
(3x-6) = 4(x-6)
=> 3x - 6 = 4x - 24
=>4x-3x = 24-6
=> x = 18
So,
Son's present age = 18
Father's present age = 18Ă3=54
Ratio after 6 years =
Age of father after 6 years : Age of son after 6 years = 18+6:54+6 = 24:60 = 2:5
