the value of KH of helium is more than the value of KH of hydrogen.

the value of KH depends on the nature of gas , greater the value of KH , the lesser is the solubility.

Helium gas has the higher \mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}} value.

Explanation:

  • “The partial pressure of a gas above a liquid is “directly proportional” to the concentration in liquid under thermodynamic equilibrium”.
  • According to the Henry’s law, the “solubility of gas” in liquid is ‘proportional’ to the “partial pressure of the gas” n the “surface of the liquid” at constant temperature.
  • The higher value of \mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}}  has lower solubility.
  • From the given question: At the ‘same temperature’, The hydrogen gas is ‘more soluble’ than helium gas in water.
  • Helium gas has higher \mathrm{K}_{\mathrm{H}} value because it is less soluble than hydrogen.
