At the time Freeman wrote "The Revolt of 'Mother'" women's role in society was very different from that of today. In an essay of at least 150 words, explain how these issues have changed over the last century, yet are still with us now. ANSWER: A women's role has changed tremendously and is making its greatest impact in our society today. Many years ago, women's contribution to society was limited and controlled by men. Women are standing tall and are playing a major role in many important areas. Women's role has changed at an accelerating rate and have part in areas such as Politics, Professional Training Jobs, Medicine,Business and Law. Formerly they were not part of any political matter, but they have advanced in many aspects. For example, women have attained power and have been growing in political office. The book "Revolt of Mother", Although not based on Politics, is based on the women in society and take on the Gender roles theory. Women were seen as a "stay at home and do house cleaning" role of society while men went on and worked. It was because of how dominant the role of man seemed and was portrayed in those days. Now it's a "equal" share of dominance in the roles with women seen in higher powers or positions in practice along side men or ontop of men. Hope this helps!
