The standard atmosphere (symbol: atm) is a unit of pressure defined as 101325 Pa (1.01325 bar), equivalent to 760 mmHg (torr), 29.92 inHg and 14.696 psi.

It is taken 760 mmHg at sea level. At every 10.3 meter of depth we face the increase in the pressure of 1 atm. So after every 10.3 meters it increases by one atm

A water column of height 10.2 m exerts a pressure equal to the atmospheric pressure.
