q 1 : At what points, is the air resistance greater than the weight of the body?

answer : (c) 5 and 6

q 2 : At what point(s), is the air resistance equal to the weight of the body?

answer : (b) 3, 4 , 7 and 8

explanation : air resistance : it is the force that opposes relative motion of an object when it passes through air.

at point 5 and 6, air resistance is greater than weight of body because speed is rapidly decrease in case of 5 and 6.

situation can be understood when you think, a man starts to fall from some height. his speed increases because gravitational force acts on him (graph 1 and 2 shows it)

now air resistance starts to suppress his speed and acts just opposite of his gravitational force. at a certain time, his speed remains constant because air resistance becomes equal to gravitational force. (graph 3 and 4 shows it)

and man opens his parachute, at that air resistance rapidly increase due to this, speed of man rapidly decreases. (graph 5 and 6 shows it).

a few moment later, his gravitational force again balances air resistance acting on his parachute and him. means, gravitational force equals to air resistance, men moves downwards with constant speed (graph 7 and 8 shows it).
