Given - Time

Find - Rate of interest

Solution - Simple interest = Principal*rate of interest*time/100

Amount = Principal + interest

Let the principal be x. So, amount will be 3x.

Interest = Amount - Principal

Interest = 3x - x

Interest = 2x

Keep the values in formula to find the rate of interest

Rate = (2x*100)/(x*3)

Rate = 200x/3x

Rate = 66.6%

So, the rate of interest is 66.6%.
