Answer:

5. Conduction is the transfer of thermal energy through direct contact.

Convection is the transfer of thermal energy through the movement of a liquid or gas.

6. Conductor is an object or type of material that allows the flow of charge in one or more directions.

Examples of conductors include metals, aqueous solutions of salts, graphite, human body, etc.

7. Digital thermometer provides temperature readings in decimal points, for an accurate & specific reading. They are also easier to read than their mercury counterparts. It is faster than the normal thermometer in calculating readings.

8. In places of hot climate it is advised that the outer walls of houses be painted white. The white reflects back most of the heat that falls on it. So, it is advisable that the outer walls of houses should be painted white in winters.

9. Mercury is the only one in liquid state at room temperature. It's used in thermometers because it has high coefficient of expansion. Hence, the slightest change in temperature is notable when it's used in a thermometer.

5.conduction is the method of transmission of heat  in solids and convection is the method of transmission of heat in fluids by currents.

6.conductors are the substances which conduct heat.ex: metals.

7.digital thermometer gives accurate reading with display but it is hard to find accurate reading in mercury thermometer.

8. because light and shining colours reflect light heat.

9.because mercury is denser than water and expands equally due to heat and doesn't stick to the glass,it is even shiny and opaque so the reading can be taken easily.

hope this may help you
