Atomic number will be unique because that particular atom will be belonging to the particular element. Hence the atomic number will be unique. But the atomic number depends upon the no.of molecules and atoms in it.
For, example :- atomic number of oxygen{O} is '8'. and also atomic number of Oxygen molecule (O2) is also '8'
Then ,mass number of oxygen (O) is 16.
Whereas mass number of oxygen molecule(O2) is '32' [16*2]

Hence atomic number is unique to an atom , but the mass number is not.

Answer:

Atomic number, the number of a chemical element in the periodic system, whereby the elements are arranged in order of increasing number of protons in the nucleus. Accordingly, the number of protons, which is always equal to the number of electrons in the neutral atom, is also the atomic number.
