Hey buddy,
As atomic radius increases, the number of inner shell electron also increases, so screening effect increases, then effective nuclear charge decreases
You knw, as effective nuclear charge decreases, size of the atom increases
Owki, I will give you the definition of theses terms
*Screening effect( Shielding effect) :-
The inner shell electrons prevents the nuclear charge from reaching the outermost shells,so called this effect
*Effective nuclear charge:-
It is the charge experianced by outer most electrons of an atom
Effective nuclear charge=Nuclear charge -Screening
Glad to help you
