"Atoms of different elements combine in simple whole number ratios to form compounds."
this is one of the postulate of Dalton's atomic theory.
It means that the single atom (Na and Cl ;taking an example) of different elements combine to form a compound (NaCl).

glad ro help you
hope it helps
thank you.

Nobita678: what's that whole number ratios?
maimi: the radio deffers for different compounds
maimi: like for NaCl it is1:1
