A mass of nodal tissue is situated at the lower side of the right atria, called the AV node (Atrio-ventricular node).

The Heart is made by the cardiac muscles. The heart has two atria situated upper side and the lower part is divided into two ventricles. The atrial walls are much thinner than the walls of ventricles. Two atria are separated by the inter-atrial septum while both the ventricles are separated inter-ventricular septum. Atria and ventricles are separated by the atrio-ventricular septum.
