The pericardium is the covering of the heart.

It is the outermost layer that is bonded firmly by the diaphragm tendon.

This is linked up with the sternum together that is closed up by a sac which has layers to it.

The parietal layers have the lined that are fibrous pericardium and reflects the heart.
