Geomorphic processes — A set of mechanisms that operate at and near the earth's surface breaking down and transferring rock material and consequently fashioning land forms at small and medium scales.
These processes can be endogenous or exogenous.
The ones operating on the surface are exogenous whereas those operating below the earth's surface are endogenous.
There are categories that may be Essential in these two processes.
We have :
1.) Zonal processes - — These processes are broadly controlled by climate. For example the work of glacier.
- From climate we can get impact of different climate zones Eg. Dry zone, heavy rainfall zone, cold zone, Hot regions etc.
- For instance in cold regions, we have ice erosion which forms streams and features on the earth's surface.
- In dry regions, the loose soil and the wind leads to formation of desert features Eg Sand dunes.
2.) A zonal processes — These are processes operating on a worldwide basis.

Classification of geomorphic processes from the zonal point
Explanation:
- The geomorphic processes are classified as according to Diastrophism and volcanism is an endogenic process that originated from within in the earth tectonic activities and forces that are straight to the motion of the plates. Exogenetic are those of above or external environments
- While the weathering, mass wasting, and erosion are classified as the exogenic processes. And these related to the mechanical stress ad the chemical actions on the surface of the earth.
- As diastrophism, and volcanism are associated with the sudden movement in the earth interiors where the earth process builds some of the features like the valleys, mountain, and the hills, etc all get destroyed. Volcanism is caused by the flow of the volcanic lavas and many forms and thus is similar to nature.
- Exogenic factors like the biological and chemical and the physician wearing that ae agent of landforms transformation and the low and rapid mas moments of debris and their deposition at various places. Some examples include the gravitational and solar impacts also.
