Attempt Nehru's views on Socialism

Nehru was attracted towards socialism because he saw in it the fulfillment of his liberal ideals and of his faith in progress towards a more equal and better life for the community. Nehru always stood for liberal humanism, preservation of freedom and rejected regimentation.
