Autobiography of an Old Temple:
The Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram. I am the standing testimony of the Pallava Dynasty and their architecture. Built in the "8th century", I stand along the shores of the "Bay of Bengal" over the Coromandel Coast, near Chennai. I am "extremely proud" to be notified as the "World Heritage Site" by the UNESCO.
I am the masterpiece of the Pallava sculpture, initiated by the king Narasimhavarman II, sculpted completely out of stone. A monolith lion sculpture, shrines of Sivalinga, Durga, Vishnu, and many more intrinsically carved stone sculptures are inside my premises.
People come and get astonished to see the beautiful stone carvings that depict the Tamil culture. Come ye all… storms, cyclones, or tsunamis... I have withstood all and standing mighty on the shores… so should be everyone... whatever happens in life… just be strong.
