I'm known for my great versatility as seen in the many uses of my different parts. I'm part of the daily diets of many people. My young leaf shoots may be eaten as salad. I contain a large quantity of "water" when immature that why I am a delicious drink for people. When mature, I still contain some water and can be used as seed nuts or processed to give oil from the kernel, charcoal from the hard shell or coir from the fibrous husk. The dried meat, called copra, contains over 60% oil. This oil is used in many soap, cooking fat, margarine, cosmetics, and so many other project. My oil is also uses as hairdressing and as a massage oil. My leaves when plaited are used thatch roofs and to make hats, baskets, and fans. The rips of my leaves are used to make brushes which use to clean the house. Fiber from my husk is use to make mats, brushed, cordage and packaging material for plant, and in some country, coconut husk is used as floor polisher. The trunk is used for canoes, pots, rafters, and fences . ... I'm a coconut tree with a number of useful parts.
