I was playing with the others. Some glided through, some flew. I was the last one. There were some in the front. They flew up and down-sailing in a pattern.I was the last one. Some would have said, I lost in the race. Some would have said, I was left behind.I thought, what was it which made me last.I saw two wires-I flew past it with the others. They chose the same pattern-the same game.I met someone. The others flew past us, I flew with him.He showed me to dive between the wires-I never knew how to dive.I dove-the others flew away.He flew away too.But I learnt to dive. I learnt he flew away with his friend.I was left alone. I sat in the ground.I was taught to feed me, I was taught to play, I was taught to dive. Now I was taught to be left alone. I saw the sun sail down its golden colour.I saw the moon rise.In between, I asked what now? What do I do?Other days, I would be home. Home with the others. But now-tired , fatigued, away from my friends. He let me stay back.He let me fly.Morning happened-I was woken by the noice of crows. They were eating-eating from the garbage. I was taught.I was taught to eat worms, seeds but not garbage.I flew away. There were twilights in the street.I went and nested in a tree. I thought, as the morning rises, I would be fed. I tried searching for worms-I dug into the earth. I caught none.I nested.Morning came, others woke up.They saw me.They smiled. Some brought food.Others came-others as in crows. Not my folk. I was fed with them. But I was left alone. They fought for food, they went far for food. I flew with them. Some noticed, some ignored. Some made their race. I thought we would fly to another place, play and eat more. Talk-but I needed to learn. That was a small thing.I learnt.I learnt not to snub at garbages.I snubbed.I was left alone. No one taught me that.I learnt-learnt on my own. What it is to be left alone.Left alone in the night. I asked.Tears ran. Why was I left alone?Just to have snubbed?Just to have hated eating from the garbage? But I never knew that word. It was just bad.We never did it. Why do the crows eat garbage? They are fed like us. I slept through it. But I learnt.

Next day, I met new friends. They were none other than a new flock of crow.I ate from the dustbin. I was small compared to them.I fell. They smirked, they smiled.I was left alone. They saw tears down my face. They picked me up.I asked them, why do they eat from the garbage, when there is food all around? They said, its luxurious  food-food the human eat.I ate with them,I flew with them.I met my flock.I smirked at them. But then I sat alone. I saw a crow break the flock.I saw him fly towards eternity.I saw him sail with the breeze.I saw him sail against it.Then I saw. Then I saw a flock of crow coming in a pattern.I saw them tilt together. I saw my friend  come back.He came with his friend. He came atleast. I saw.I saw what it was to sail together. When they sailed towards eternity.Towards the golden sun. Some made the pattern perfect, by staying last.I smiled. My flock came, they taught me a lot. They taught that the others are greedy to have liked someone else's food.Food from the garbage.I flew with them.I learnt. I learnt on my own-I was never the last one.I was the one who made the pattern perfect.
