AC IS AN ELECTRIC CURRENT WHICH IS PERIODICALLY REVERSES DIRECTION , IN CONTRAST TO DIRECT CURRENT WHICH FLOWS IN ONE DIRECTION .ALTERNATING CURRENT IS THE FORM IN WHICH ELECTRIC POWER IS DELIVERED TO BUSINESSES AND RESIDENCES . AC CURRENT IS SAFE TO TRANSFER OVER LONGER CITY DISTANCES AND CAN PROVIDE MORE POWER. VOLTAGE OF DC CURRENT CANNOT TRAVEL VERY FAR UNTIL IT BEGINS TO LOSE ENERGY . THE FREQUENCY OF AC IS 50 TO 60 Hz DEPENDING ON THE COUNTRY .THE FREQUENCY OF DC IS ZERO .
