Due to increased demand of water as the population is increasing day by day. And also due to global warming which increases the temperature and in turn water level goes down.

ISSUES OF UNAVAILABILITY OF WATER :

• There wont be sufficient water for the comming generations.
• We will have to buy water in such a big price.
• In addition, inadequate sanitation - a problem for 2.4 billion people can lead to deadly diarrheal diseases, including cholera and typhoid fever, and other water-borne illnesses.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES :

• For preventing this situation the best way is to start rain water harvesting.
• Stop indiscriminate drawing out of ground water through bore wells.
• Build check dams across rivers to retain more water in the river bed after the rainy season.
• Encourage farmers to dig pits in the farms to hold rain water. This will sustain high level of moisture in the soil for a longer period.
