Therefore, their present ration is 2:3
Let us assume, x years ago their age ration is 3:5
Therefore, (20-x) / (30-x) = 3/5
5 (20-x) = 3 (30-x)
100 - 5x = 90 - 3x
2x = 10
x = 5
