Answer:

The age of L is 39.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

Average age of L, M and N = 48

T= 3

σ1= T x mean

= 3 x 48

= 144 age

Step 2:

Average age of L, M, N and O = 44

T=4

σ2= n x mean

= 4 x 44

= 176 age

Step 3:

→Age of O= σ2 - σ1

= 176-144

= 32 age

Step 4:

According to question,

Age of P= Age of O + 3

= 32+3

= 35 age

Step 5:

Average age of M, N, O and P(mean)= 43 age

T= 4

σ= n x mean

= 4 x 43

= 172 age

Step 6:

→ Age of M and N= σ - [Age of O +Age of P]

= 172 - (32+35)

= 172 - 67

= 105 age

Step 7:

→Age of L= σ1- Age of M and N

= 144 - 105

= 39 age
