Solution:-

Given, The average weight of 20 teachers is 80kg

The weight of 20 teachers = 20×80 = 1600kg

As given that, principal was included

It decreases by 1 kg in average weight

So, The average weight of 21 teachers is 79kg

The weight of 21 teachers = 79×21 = 1659 kg

Now, Old average weight of teachers is 80kg

New average weight of teachers is 1659 kg

So, The weight of the principal = Old Average weight - New average weight = 1659-1600kg = 59kg.

Given :

The average weight of 20 teachers is 80 kg.

So Total weight of 20 teachers is 1600 kg.

  • If the the principal included the average weight decreases by 1 kg.

So the average weight of 20 teachers and the principal is 79 kg.

Now the the total weight of 20 teachers and the principal = (20 + 1) × 79 = 1659 kg.

The weight of the principle = 1659 - 1600

= 59 kg.
