If you allow a, b and c to take imaginary values then it represents a point lying on the intersection of two lines in the following way-:

let a=s+it and b=u+iv and c=g+ih, then equation ax+by+c=0 reduces to  

sx+uy+g+i(tx+vy+h)=0 -(2)

which is a point lying on the intersection of two lines given by the real and imaginary part of the equation (2).
