let,

the no of red and blue pointers be 'x'

after giving away 24 red pointers,

remaining ,

red pointers = x - 24

blue pointers = x

given ,

4×(remaining red pointers) =blue pointers.

4(x - 24) = x

4x - 96 =x

3x = 96

x=32

So she had bought 32 blue pointers at the beginning.

\huge\star\boxed{Answer}\star

No. of red pointers = No. of blue pointers

Let the number of red pointers be x

She gave 24 pointers

So, the number of red pointers left=x-24

Number of blue pointers =4(x-24)

It is shown that No. of red pointers = No. of blue pointers

So, number of blue pointers=x

x = 4(x - 24) \\ x = 4x - 96 \\ 4x - x = 96 \\ 3x = 96 \\ x =  \frac{96}{3}  = 32

Number of blue pointers with Ayesha =32
