Azide ion is linear but hydrozoic acid is planner, explain?

Hydazoic acid contains hydrogen, which forms hydrogen bonds and exists as tetramers, So, it is planar in structure. Azide ion does not contain hydrogen, so it is unable to form H-bonding. Thus, it exists as linear.
