Given

length of train which is 250m

speed of the train is 55km/hr

length of the platform is 520m

To Find

We have to find the time the train cross a platform of length 520m

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

How to solve :

Here, distance ,speed and time is used we will use the formula of Distance and hence,finds the time.

Length of the train = 250m

length of the platform= 520m

Total length =length of the train+length of the platform

Total length= 250m+520m=770m

We have find the total distance = 770m

speed of the train = 55km/hr

Now,we will use distance formula

converting 55km/hr to m/s

\sf\bold{=> \dfrac{km}{hr}  =  \dfrac{1000 \times m}{3600 \times s}}

\sf \bold{=  >  \dfrac{km}{h}  =  \dfrac{5}{18}  \times  \dfrac{m}{s}}

=>55×5/18

=>275/18

Distance= speed × time

=>770= 275/18×time

=>770÷275/18= time

=>770× 18/275 = time

=>2.8× 18 = time

=>time =50.4

hence,the train will cross a platform of length 520m in 50.4 secs
