Final velocity (v) = 0 (since it stops)

time (t) = 0.2s

SOLUTION

Force = m (v-u)/t

= 100 (0-10)/0.2

= -1000/0.2

= -10000/2

= - 5000N ( "-" indicates the force in opposite direction)

The force applied by the by the boy to stop it is 5000N
