The product of mass and the acceleration of an object is called the force applied to it. Mathematically, it is given by :

F = m a

F = 48 N

If the same force is applied on an object of mass 24 kg, m₂ = 24 kg

Let the acceleration of the object is a₂. Again using the second law of motion as :

a²=f/m²

a²=48n/24kg

a²=2m/s²

So, the acceleration of the object is 2m/s² . Hence, this is the required solution.
