(b) An object of mass 200kg is accelerated uniformly from a velocity of 10m/s
to 15m/s in 6s. Calculate the initial and final momentum of the object.
Also, find the magnitude of the force exerted on the object.

Explanation:

Given data :

mass = 200kg

initial velocity = 10m/s

final velocity = 15m/s

time = 6s

v = u + at

15 = 10 + 6a

15-10 / 6 = a

5 / 6 = a

1.2m/s² = a

F = ma

= 200 × 1.2

F = 240N

hence the magnitude of the force exerted on the object is 240N
