1)The poet is asking whether he can stand in front of us. ' Thee' here is an old English word meaning 'you're. So the poet is asking , "shall I stand before you face to face i.e. in front of us.
2)In the poem, he prays that in solitude, silence and humility, he will stand face to face with God and seek his blessing. Even in work and daily struggle, among crowds, his heart will be filled with devotion.
3)According to sociology, ofcorse we are living in a modern world where society work on legal rational thinking. According to scientific aspect, ofcourse we are in modern world as every day technology is achieving a new milestone. Human can travel with a speed of more than sound.
