1.most teachers at lowood Institute were cruel, and unkind but miss temple was kind and calm unlike other teachers who were unfriendly. 2.the girls were treated poorly, they didn't get any food except for in the morning and at night and that was also cold, abominable, and inedible to eat and there was also no water to bathe. 3.Mr. Brocklehurst's mission was to mortify the girls, teach them how to clothe themselves with shamefacedness and sobriety, he was not kind to the girls but he hated Jane the more than anyone. 4.the last chapter of the extract is titled 'a deadly springtime' because spring is considered as the beautiful season as it gets warmer and flowers grow everywhere so do dangerous germs!
