CATHODE RAYS ARE PRODUCED WHEN A HIGH VOLTAGE IS APPLIED TO A GLASS TUBE (FROM WHICH ALL THE GAS HAS BEEN REMOVED) AS IT IONIZE THE ATOMS PRESENT IN THE TUBE AND THUS PRODUCE CATHODE RAYS.
