The seagull's parents did many things to make the seagull fly. First they asked him to fly but later this became scolding and then threats . His parents threatened him that he will die of starvation , if he didn't fly . He(The Seagull) was in fear of drowning in the sea if he flew. They also started ignoring him and ate fish as he looked from the cliff. The mother seagull took piece of dogfish towards him , this tempted him as he dived for it he fell off the cliff , he got frightened and started flapping his wings as he flew down into the sea and joined his family.

The narrator took this risk because he was desperate to go home and to see his family and to have an English breakfast the next morning.
He felt very strange feelings and experience. As he entered the storm everything became black for him . His compass and other navigation devices stopped working and he felt that the plane is twisting in the storm. But then , he saw another plane and the pilot in it was waving at him and showed symbols asking to follow him . He followed and landed safe in an airfield. After landing,the narrator asked the woman in the control center about other pilot , she looked at the narrator strangely , because he was the only one who was flying at that time .
