Anne Sullivan's arrival was the most important day for Helen because she had come to teach her & more than anything else to love her. Her constant support & encouragement made Helen kiss success. Helen was in a world which she could not see, hear nor understand. Miss Sullivan worked hard & succeeded in showing her moody pupil the right way to communicate with the outside world. Miss Sullivan was the embodiment of love & patience. She helped Helen but never allowed Helen to become a parasite. She was a pillar of support but instilled the passion to be independent in Helen. She helped Helen learn from life itself. Miss Sullivan was Helen's teacher, mentor, constant companion and role model. She pretended herself as a loving mother & this worked wonders.
