I was born with no arms, I am a torso. At the time of my birth my parents were very disappointed and distraught. I knew that my mother was feared to take me into her lap for months after. My disability came without any medical explanation. But my mother blames herself every time that she did not follow precaution at her pregnancy time, even though she was a nurse. In my childhood I hated god for making me like this. But my parents tried their level best and more and made me an independent person. When I was eighteen months old, my father put me in a bath tub and learnt me swimming. My mother invented a special plastic device to hold a pen and pencil with the help of my small foot on my left hip. My parents insisted me to join in a mainstream school. I was afraid of bullying and feared to mingle with normal people. Apart from humiliation from some boys I had my own batch of admirers, who were always at my side to help me. Sometimes I thought that what would happen to me when my parents weren’t there to look after me. They made me live independently and do things of my own. They encourage me like anything. Just because of them only what I was today as a renowned motivational speaker all over the world. I am spreading the positive qualities and motivational words those learnt from my parents. I am very much grateful to god for giving me the best and lovely parents.
