Answer:

Explanation:

Heavy metals are generally defined as metals with relatively high densities, atomic weights.

  1. Solutions of mercury(I) nitrate are acidic due to slow reaction with water: Hg2(NO3)2 + H2O ⇌ Hg2(NO3)(OH) + HNO. Hg2(NO3)(OH) forms a yellow precipitate.

       Solutions of Na and NaO3-  NaOH + HNO3 → NaNO3 + H2O

2.Since the reaction is very exothermic, part of the hydrogen reacts with

the oxygen of the air to give water again. Sodium metal reacts rapidly

with water to form a colourless solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH)

      and hydrogengas (H2).

       Hg + H2O → H2 + HgO

3.HgO decomposes on exposure to light or on heating above 500 °C. Heating produces highly toxic mercury fumes and oxygen, which increases the fire hazard. Mercury(II) oxide reacts violently with reducing agents, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, magnesium (when heated), disulfur dichloride and hydrogen trisulfide.

Sodium oxide reacts exothermically with cold water to produce sodium hydroxide solution. Depending on its concentration, this will have a pH around 14. As a strong base, sodium oxide also reacts with acids. For example, it would react with dilute hydrochloric acid to produce sodium chloride solution.
