Step-by-step explanation:

Breadth of rectangle = x + 3

Let Length be x

Area of rectangle = x + 7x + 12

Area of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

x + 7x + 12 = 2 ( x + x + 3 )

x + 7x + 12 = 2x + 2x + 6

8x + 12 = 4x + 6

8x - 4x = 12 - 6

4x = 6

x = 6 / 4

x = 1.5
