Answer:
Seafood is any form of sea life regarded as food by humans, prominently including fish and shellfish. Shellfish include various species of molluscs (e.g. bivalve molluscs such as clams, oysters, and mussels and cephalopods such as octopus and squid), crustaceans (e.g. shrimp, crabs, and lobster), and echinoderms (e.g. sea urchins).

There are a number of food items that we obtain from the sea. Although some might vary, or be different in form, according to different parts of the world, these are the food items we obtain from the sea from a broad perspective:
- Caviar - Caviar is basically salt-cured fish eggs that are derived only from a certain species of fish called ‘Sturgeon’.
- Scallop - Scallops are shellfish that are highly prized for their delicate texture and taste.
- Squid - Squids do not have a shell on the outside and can be found in oceans all over the world at various depths. There are over 300 different species of squid.
- Prawns - Prawns are essentially a kind of insect in the sea world.
- Lobsters - Lobsters can swim forward and backward. When they’re alarmed, they scoot away in reverse by rapidly curling and uncurling their tails.
- Sharks - Shark finning and shark fin exports are banned in India, but there are no restrictions on consuming shark meat, except for the species that are protected. But since shark catch has seen a drastic decline, shark catches have become rare
- Kingfish - Kingfish are excellent eating fish with thick white fillets, they have a pleasant flavor and only a few large bones.
- Salmon - They provide good, lean meat for those who need protein but not too much fat in their meals.
- Hilsa - It has a huge amount of good quality fatty acids and Omega-3, which protects humans from coronary heart disease.
- Octopus - From the Mediterranean to the Sea of Japan, octopuses are considered a culinary delicacy, and demand is growing.
