If ever, I would be in a situation of the skunk regarding supporting my mom or the wizard, I would support the wizard.  

I would try to convince my mother that roses’ smell was better than my peculiar skunk’s smell. I would not accompany her to the wizard’s house. Besides, my mother would not behave like the skunk’s mother. She would grant me consent to keep the roses’ smell.
